The Regretter

There were very few moments I experienced tonight that I do not regret.

Right now I feel very much like the Doctor the day before his death.

Knowing that what you have to do is really terrible and knowledge of it can be used to avoid it but when you look at the big picture you can do nothing but put a smile on your face and walk off that cliff.

Tomorrow is either going to be amazing or it is going to suck really hard.

“Midnight in Paris” is now one of my favourite films.

New Los Campesinos! track is pretty good.

Nice to see Gareth is sticking with his beautifully fucked up ways of looking at life.

Wish they’d tour North America more thoroughly…

Checklist of things to do:

• Pray this all works
• Add AVG so this doesn’t happen again

I once made a mix for a girl that had “Gatekeeper” by Feist in it. It’s a good song but it totally ruins the whole groove of the mix but I had to throw it in because I needed at least artist she actually knew to pique her interest.

So to compensate for the loss of groove I followed it up with “You’re No Rock and Roll Fun” by Sleater-Kinney. Now whenever I listen to the mix I always skip the Feist and get hit with an awesomeness beam.

I sang a song on stage at work today. Not in front of customers (because it has to be approved first) but it was still so fucking nerve wracking.

I stood on stage alone, clinging desperately to the microphone and sang “All my Loving”, wincing every time my nerves caused my voice to lose key. I told everyone that it sounded a lot better alone in the stairwell.

Later something awesome happened, then it ended up not happening, but luckily while I was on top of the world because I thought it was happening I tripped and lost an entire banquet tray of desserts (16 pieces of cake) and because I was already so happy I just stood up and went on with my day.

Then the awesome thing didn’t end up happening so I went home and am currently in bed listening to Death Cab for Cutie and pining.

When the fuck did I become 16 again?

New Dragon Age II DLC on the very day I realized I have been craving some, and exactly enough Bioware points in my account to get it?

Ever since I have moved into my new place I’ve heard weird sounds coming from the room above mine every morning.

They sound like someone is dragging an extremely heavy key in and out of a very large lock for about ten seconds, then it stops.

I just realized today that it is actually someone being very terrible at sex.
